Transcripts and Certifications

Policies

According to the 1974 Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), we must have signed permission to issue your private record. Therefore, we are unable to accept requests by telephone.

Requesting Transcripts in Person

Transcript/certification request forms can be completed in the Office of the Registrar:

Requesting Transcripts Via Email

We now accept transcript requests via email.  Requests must be signed (not electronically) in order to be accepted. Your completed request can be sent to wusmregistrar@wustl.edu.

Please include the following information in your scanned request:

  • Name (including name while in attendance if now different)
  • Social security or student identification number
  • Program and degree received
  • Approximate dates of attendance
  • Your address and phone number
  • Address of the person to be sent the requested documents
  • Sign and date the request indicating any deadline dates that may apply

Please note that students sending requests via clearinghouses such as ERAS must still send a signed request before their information can be uploaded.

Please include the following information in your request:

  • Name (including name while in attendance if now different)

Fee

There is no charge for obtaining transcripts or certifications.  However, there is a charge for expedited shipping via FedEX.

Processing Time

Please allow three to five days for processing your request, though requests are normally filled within 48 hours.  Requests are filled in the order that they are received.

Expedited Shipping

To expedite delivery of your transcript or certification, please include a prepaid envelope from an express mail service such as Federal Express or the U.S. Post Office. Please be certain that the service will pick up at our office and deliver to your destination. Courier services such as FedEX do not deliver to P O Boxes.
